About Cliff Cottage
The Location
Cliff Cottage is to be found down a sandy lane in a secluded spot overlooking the Alde Estuary. It is one of the most magnificent positions in East Anglia. The estuary is part of the Suffolk Heritage Coast, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and, with its amazing wildlife, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The cottage is within easy reach of Snape, Aldeburgh, Orford, Minsmere, Thorpness and Havergate Island. The nearest railway stations are at Wickham Market and Saxmundham.
On the Ground Floor
The ground floor is light and open plan, with a spacious, well equipped kitchen (with microwave, three door electric oven with five ring electric hob, and a wine cooler), a conservatory dining area with magnificent views and an open plan fireside living room with a wide screen television and DVD player.
From the kitchen there is a large laundry room/larder/dog bedroom with a fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, and cleaning and ironing equipment under the stairs. There is a downstairs loo and basin, as well as an outdoor power shower.
Inventory
We provide cooking equipment and cutlery, plates, glasses etc. for up to eight guests. In the bedrooms, we now provide all linen and towels, with duvets, pillows and blankets if necessary.
Upstairs
The first floor is made up of three bedrooms and two bathrooms: a master double bedroom with a king sized bed, large fitted wardrobe, antique pine furniture, and an airing cupboard. There is a large en-suite bathroom with double basins and a bath/shower.
The second bedroom is a twin bedroom with a third bed under the eaves, a basin and a large fitted wardrobe.
In the third bedroom there is a twin room with beds that can be zipped together to make a king sized bed, and a chest of drawers.
There is a family bathroom with a bath/shower.
